Buy the dip
Your DCA bot is running.
But what if you want to catch the best price or maybe even the market bottom?
The Pro plan offers several options:
Price limit
Buy below a certain price level. No explanation needed.
You can also set multiple bots, buying different amounts at different levels.
Price drop
Buy when the price drops a certain percentage either from the all-time high or in the last 24 hours (to capture moments of market volatility).
RSI
Buy when the RSI indicator is below [X]. This is a classic indicator used by many investors to determine a good entry point. You have two options: buy only when the price is below, or use it as a trigger to start the bot, and it will continue from then on.
Remember that RSI is calculated based on the last “close” not, a live value.
Moving averages
Buy when a moving average is below [X]. This is another popular method for evaluating prices, with the daily SMA 200 being a common choice. Whether you use a simple (SMA) or exponential (EMA) moving average, when the price falls below it, you know it’s relatively low.
Spending limit
Finally, you can set a limit for how much the bot will invest.
All those options work for any DCA bot, but using spending limit you can also easily set a bot that make a lump sum purchase.
